Whitney would like to thank all that contributed to the 'Light for Sight' raffle held the end of last year. She is the first to have the surgery that has given her back her sight. The surgery may be costly but is so worth it to see a young girl like this really 'see' the wonderful world again.  Now all she needs is that forever home where she will continue to be a Princess.

Whitney is a three year old chocolate cocker with a natural tail.  She has a personality that is irresistible.  Whitney is the ultimate companion.  She loves to play ball and is quite good at retrieving.  Whitney also loves to snuggle with other dogs and humans.  Her housetraining skills are getting better but still not at 100%.  She does know she should go outside and will if taken out, however sometimes she forgets when she is in the house.  If put on a routine schedule there is no doubt she would 'get it' totally.

Whitney needs to learn some manners at feeding time.  However, in a foster home with so many dogs it is hard to teach her to not jump and get excited about food.  Again, in the right home and on a routine she would certainly calm down.  At feeding time her nickname is ‘Roo’ because she jumps up and down like a little kangaroo.  She can jump a good three feet in the air – up and down – up and down.  It is actually very cute.

Whitney will need to have eye drops for the rest of her life.  In time it will be only one - currently she has three.  She is wonderful about allowing her foster mom to administer the drops and even gives a kiss after it is done.   She needs to have a three month follow up visit with her eye vet at Tuft’s (which Life’s Little Paws will cover) and after that she should be able to see any eye vet for yearly checkups.

Whitney is as sweet as the chocolate color of her fur.  Whoever adopts this sweet girl will not regret it.  Could it be you?

Whitney's adoption fee is $350.00
