This is Fabio when he first came into shelter. That is not a blanket or a sweater on him, but it is his overgrown hair. There was 20lbs of hair cut off this sweet little man.
Fabio is doing great in his new foster home and is now housebroken. He loves to be brushed and he will  attach to one person and be their shadow. Because of the years of neglect Fabio has had to learn to hear again. He is doing great and starting to come when called. His hearing and vision are now fine. He looks older than he acts. He has a lot of energy. He is starting to play a little with other dogs. He gets along well with them and is fine with cats. While Fabio is a terrific boy we would not recommend children because he has a few quirks which we are working on.  Fabio loves soft paper (napkins, Kleenex, toilet paper) which he will steal. If he has a good grip on it, he will not let go of his treasure without some firm convincing.

His foster mom thinks he would be great for an older person/couple, possibly retired who have time to spend time with him. He walks well on a leash and loves to ride.

His right ear is lower and longer than the left, jowls are longer on the right. Possibly from carrying 20# of hair!?

Fabio's adoption fee is $350.00.
